The Hats Off in Remembrance of 9/11 Avatar Movement was started by Dwarfminefan580 on September 10, 2012. It lasted for only a day, but during it, users changed their avatars to ones that did not have hats, most commonly blonde hair (a few users had brown hair), in remembrance of the September 11 attacks.
It occurred again in 2013, this time started by Skulduggery773. In 2014, the topic was made by Wolfasa.
